Abstract

This study seeks to examine the impact of social media on the Islamic value system of young people in Arab society. Islamic Values serve as the moral foundation of Arab societies; they have been defined, and their key aspects highlighted, making them one of the most influential tools shaping patterns of social interaction and the exchange of ideas. The study identifies the sources of societal values and how they are formed.

The study revealed that social media platforms are a primary source for shaping awareness, transmitting culture, and influencing various behaviors and attitudes both positively and negatively as well as moral and social values in Arab society. These platforms have two distinct sides: on the one hand, they help promote communication, openness, and the exchange of knowledge; on the other hand, they may undermine certain traditional values due to misuse and a lack of awareness, highlighting the importance of guiding young people toward using these platforms in a positive and responsible manner.
